Students Under Attack

That was the best Christmas I had all my life.  It was maybe because after 20 years, my father and mother decided that they were still in love with each other after the divorce 20 years ago.  They had their second wedding on that day as well.

I work as a Customer Service Representative and we do not close even on special holidays.  I am able to attend the wedding earlier that day and had to do my shift.  My supervisor allowed me to have a half day off.  She understands why I need to be with my parents this Christmas Holiday.  After all, I spend all of my 4 previous Christmas at work.

My car did not start when I turned it on.  I tried starting the engine several times but it was as if there was no electricity inside the engine.  The guard told me to call the shop that did foreign transmission repair – my car was a Honda Civic.  I was not sure if they were around but I did try anyway.  I was amazed that they would do service even Christmas.

The mechanic came and did a diagnostic on my car.  In less than an hour, he was able to do transmission repair service on my car.  I was so thankful to him and invited him for a hot meal in my parent’s house.  He declined knowing that there were still people out who needed their assistance.

My friend’s house is everybody’s house. Sleepovers and the like are the activities we do there all the time. Her parents have always been welcoming at all times. So, we always feel comfortable staying there and doing our activities there. There was never a dull moment staying there. Problem came when my friend suddenly told us that one particular Saturday that we just could not go to their house because it has been attacked by insects. So every one of us got worried about my friend’s house. We recommended her about auto insect spray. That gave her a wonderful idea.

The weekend after that, my friend invited us again to her house. Apparently, she really followed our recommendation. They were able to find a very good auto bug spray company to do the job. It came as a surprise however, when I found out that they are one of the best in the states. I believe that a good education is the foundation of a good career and success in the later years of life. The school that I went to was very nice and I made a lot of friends. We usually go and hangouts to different shops and visit the park on our free time. There are other places to visit but we just normally stay on a friend’s house and just spend the day playing cards and computer games. So far I’m enjoying my stay here in the Moore County; I just hoped that we moved in sooner. My family also made a lot of acquaintances in our neighborhood. My dad usually hangs out with his own “club” and would tell us everything that happened whenever he is in the mood for talks. I never imagined that life here would be this much fun.

Whenever my husband goes out to work, I always thing abut his safety. Being a foreman of a construction company, he’s always on the site and manages almost everything. Engineers consult him about the updates of the building, and it’s his task to see through that everything is working on schedule.

He always tells me that trucks and cranes are going to be on site and that’s what makes me nervous. These big trucks could cause accidents or damages! Sometimes I even fear of him getting hit or run over, and he just tells me I’m paranoid. Having a garden is a great addition to your home.  But when you think about the care and effort in maintaining its appearance, you somewhat get discouraged.  You know that it does cost some amount to take care of it because you would have to buy those products to keep the bugs away as well as fertilizers to keep the plants green and growing.

My mind usually changes like the season. That has been a problem of mine since I was a kid. But when my best friend called and asked me if I could drop by for a visit, I became curious. Maybe we could have our floors changed in the future as well.
